'Our lives in St. James'
Rawthorpe St. James I & N School, Huddersfield

I was commissioned to hold several workshop sessions with Key stage 1 children, helping them understand the history of stained glass and how it is designed and made with a view to creating their own stained glass feature for the school entrance foyer.
The children were encouraged to draw images on the theme of St. James and together we arranged them into a practical design that could be made in glass. I began work on the panels and the class visited the studio to help choose colours, see the craft demonstrated and record the work in progress.
